RC Cars

Love to race rc cars...then start out with gas powered or electric powered r/c cars...

You see them zipping by in the parks and in the streets and you are fascinated by them. RC cars provide a lot of fun to those who race them and those who watch them zipping by. Their incredible speed and agility, which is controlled by a remote control you hold in your hand, makes them even more appealing.

The gas powered and electric powered radio controlled cars are very fast but for ultimate power nothing beats the nitro powered cars. The nitro fuel provides that burst of energy you need to power ahead in a race or if you just want to go all out with your radio control car to see how well the engine performs.

RC cars come in various sizes. Each size is a scaled version of a real car. For example the 1/20 scale represents an r/c car that's 1/20th the size of a real car. Common scales range from 1/32, 1/24, 1/18, 1/16, 1/14, 1/10, 1/8 and 1/6. So scale is one factor to consider in purchasing your radio controlled car.

Another factor to consider is speed. Most basic rc cars travel under 20 MPH (miles per hour). But there are those that can travel at higher speeds. But for starters, the basic ones are fine. A gas or electric powered model will work for you until you really get into rc sport. But if you definitely want the ultimate in speed then go for a nitro powered version.
