RC Airplanes

Race rc airplanes at incredible speeds. RC planes provide lots of fun...for the enthusiasts and non enthusiast alike

Are you fascinated with rc airplanes? They race at incredible speeds from high above and they command the attention of everyone in sight. These remote controlled electronic birds will give you hours of fun. Though not as common as r/c cars, radio control airplanes are very popular among those who just can't get enough fun from these aircrafts.

On average the basic rc airplanes flies at around 30 mph and you can fly them at distances of more than a 1/2 mile. However they are more advanced models which are mainly geared towards experienced pilots that fly at very high speeds. It is best to start off with slower aircrafts and then move up to faster models as you gain experience.

Ready to fly, almost ready to fly or a kit? This depends on the amount of time you have on your hand. If you are up to it and want to learn about the various parts of your rc airplane then go with a kit. Generally, it is better to start off with a ready to fly version if you are the person who hates to put parts together. Assembly of a plane from kit can take a day or two, while the almost ready to fly version can take a few hours.

You'll also have to decide on whether to go with an electric engine or a gas powered engine. Again, if you are starting out choose the simpler route. A battery powered engine allows you to charge and go and you don't have to deal with the smell of gas. However, gas powered engines tend to be faster, so it's up to you to make a trade off between the two. Most people who are starting out with rc airplanes tend to go with the battery operated engines.
